Welcome! We at the Dead Pocket Station would like to say, “Argh!” in a funny pirate voice. But, alas, we are desperately short on sounds at the moment.

We think these immortal words of our co-founder, Alex Turk, describe us best, “I was the first person to make a peanut butter and guacamole sandwich. I was the first to climb Mount Caiko Tiku. I was the first to broadcast the message CAN YOU HEAR ME DOWN THERE from the surface of the moon. I was the first to build a working belt of Lego blocks. I was the first to sail the Atlantic Ocean in my pajamas. I was not the first to say any of this. It has all been said before. I just put my name on it. How much of this is true? I’ll never tell. Just use your imagination.”

We have an official DPS theme song. We’d love to share it with you, but we’re in a fierce legal battle with one of the Gibb brothers over the actual music. It seems it’s not exactly legal to write your own theme song using the tune of a popular disco anthem. Who’d a’ thought? Anyway, here are the words to our theme song:

Where do you go when you need the news?
Or a relief from those humdrum blues?
Or when you want to waste some time?
Try reading us – it won’t cost a dime.
Whether or not you have any fun,
It’s Dead Pocket Sta-a-tion!

That’s as far as we got. It’s the same over and over again, thirty-three times. We wanted to build brand loyalty through frequency and consistency. We didn’t want to confuse you with multiple messages.

Anyway, stay if you’d like. Just be warned, this will be a colossal waste of time.
